Wow number one! I wasn’t sure where we would rank this year after unloading Ruiz, Verdugo, and Toreklson (Which if your reading this greg I would love to reaquire him) and having a not so good farm draft IMO this offseason.

Very Excited to have a future Whitley/Gore arsenal with Joey Bart raking behind the plate. Adell was my first pick I made entering the league and I’m ecstatic to see how far he’s come this quickly. I think I might have a top 5 pick in Vaughn this June. Me and Ryne just have to stay patient with the process. I think we could have a really good team once these guys get up.

Great write up mike, I always look forward to reading these since I’ve been in the league.

I knew I would drop thanks to Gleyber graduating and Senzel regressing. Soroka and McKay are key!

So Matt, this is what you and your kids have to look forward with the School Disctric 204 Education. Or is it edge-uh-macation?

Mitch and Ryne's parents (me and Donna) are so proud!

My team dropped because of, as Mike said, trading away almost all of my future for one huge push to win last year. I actually expected to be much lower this year. I have no doubt it will be higher in the near future.

If you’re trying to read the tea leaves here, you’re probably right.

Amazing the Commish forgets you have to give up quality prospects to obtain someone like Justin Verlander

Did you attend District 204? Considering how you spell District?

*Ryne and I* unfortunately struggle daily because of the inferior genes we were born with.

I feel bad that you both are stuck with your mom's bad genes. At least half your genes are good.

 And I thought his actual name Funkhouser was a cool name. Ever a guy who should have been a Nashville Funkadelic, he's the guy.
Black Sox wrote:Is he even a prospect anymore?

He's still a prospect, only because he's on a team that is in position to call him up if he shows anything this year. But he is on thin ice. Doubly thin since he's not a Yankee.
The Yankees have had a great farm system in recent years, but...come on, man

More than one way to build a farm, and I prefer this way out of personal enjoyment. Farm guys are all a crap shoot anyway, so why not draft from the organization I follow the closest (and yes, down to the DSL level), appears to know what they are doing developing players, and get those potential quick risers before most anyone else? I have a couple of guys who could be top 100 after this season. It's how I landed on Florial, and remember back in the day I had Betances on my farm. I had Deivi Garcia and Everson Pereira each picked before me this year, and I am still mad I didn't pick them up last mid-season. Garcia in particular.
The one name that really had me scratching my head was Bitsko

I always reserve one farm spot for a flier (Pat Venditte for years). Figured why not for a local kid who is #7 on the national list for class of 2021. Only issue I have is his UVA commitment. My son goes to Va Tech, so it hurts a bit but hoping he can be bought out of that commitment. :)
