Chapter Three Recap
Re: Chapter Three Recap
Okay, no one else is amazed that Jeff’s bullpen is 26-0 this season??

Not really. I thought we all decided wins don't really tell us anything other than being the right place at the right time. I'd be more interested in their combined ERA. What's that?

Re: Chapter Three Recap
I'd be amazed if it wan't.
Re: Chapter Three Recap
Well...if you read the article...
26-0 with a 1.76 ERA in 209 innings!

Well, that's pretty great. I wonder if this is Jeff's bullpen ever. Might be fun to look at Jeff's top 5 relievers every single year at their combined ERA (can't really include mop-up men). Maybe Jeff should do this exercise.

Nice write-up Mike!
Re: Chapter Three Recap
I just added a fifth story to the recap, as I forgot to mention that the Ozzie League kicked the Eck League's ass for the second year in a row.

Re: Chapter Three Recap
This year's bullpen has been fun - as I have decided to not go with a traditional closer. Instead I decided to just play matchups
Saves:
Seranthony Dominguez - 16
Sean Doolittle - 12
Jeremy Jeffress - 2
Reyes Moronta - 2
Vidal Nuno - 2
Jose James - 1
Ryan Stanek - 1
Michael Lorenzen - 1
Jace Fry - 1
Also, for the record - Michael Lorenzen has 2 losses - but Mike is right - my bullpen has been great so far and lots of fun to play with.

Re: Chapter Three Recap
26-0 with a 1.76 ERA in 209 innings is better than great. It's ridiculous. That should never happen.

I'm just glad my team has more wins than his bullpen.
I sense reversion to the mean

Re: Chapter Three Recap
That's not even his entire bullpen! That's just six guys!

Did you mention that Chicago went 11-5 against the Ozzie League?
