Cutdown Day, 2020

Postby Commish » Tue Dec 17, 2019 11:32 am

It's that time of year again.

Cutdown Day!

For the vets, you know what to do. You can use the link on the homepage or the one above. Then, you can follow along with all the fun here:

http://www.bigdaddybaseball.com/cutdown ... esults.htm

For the newbies (and Doyle):

1. Select your team from the form, and you should see every player on your roster along with a selection box next to each name. Simply decide what you want to do with each player. The possible choices are listed in each selection box.

2. If you see any errors in the form, please let me know. Do not submit your form until the errors are corrected.

3. If you have any questions, let me/us know.

4. Once you hit "submit", your choices are final unless there is some extraordinary circumstance.

5. Have fun!

Is the calculated total it shows accurate? And does that include penalties?

It told me 25 players at 32.8m with 12 farm players
My own calculations showed 25 players at 36m (including cuts) with 12 farm players

I don’t know why it happens, but occasionally the total dollar amount shown on the form is not the same as the actual total. It was fine on my form, but not Greg’s. I remember my total was off last year. I don’t know why. It’s a Java error that I can’t seem to pinpoint.

So...for now, just go by your own total and ignore what’s on the form. Sorry for the confusion.

I will post updated totals for everyone once you submit your form and you can check against that. Look for it in the Draft Commentary forum. I'll post the first ones on Wednesday.

Yeah, when I did New Hampshire's yesterday, the starting total wasn't correct, but all the individual contracts here. After I had made all the decisions, the totals were correct.

I think my first franchise player is a pretty good one.

If you're referring to Gleyber, you didn't franchise him.

It's supposed to be Gleybar Torres. Can this be corrected?

I freakin had to make a decision on Alex Reyes before he really ever pitched in the majors. Naturally, I franchised him
