I'm pretty sure that they all went to the 404 error.

Yep, that’s how it’s setup. I can see the error when I run locally for debugging. I found one more thing to tweak with this (after you make a bid, the page breaks again), that fix is about to push out now as well.

I noticed that when I'm out bid and I want to bid again, I have to bid $0.5 higher. If I have a better record than the high bidder I should be able to bid the high bid amount.

For example.

I have a better record than So Cal. He just outbid me for Ricky Bobbie. $6.5. I should be able to bid $6.5 and have the high bid. However, I have to bid $7.0. I'm still the high bid at $6.5, but maybe $6.5 is my max or the most I want to bid.

Ok, tweak is deploying and should be live within 10 minutes. Good catch: I missed that one and thought I did test it. That's why we are crowd-testing. :D

Looks like it's fixed. Worked perfectly! This is going to be a fun auction. Great job Tony.

So I just tried to break the website by bidding over my remaining money and the website won't let me. So as long as I'm winning the bid it counts it against your total and won't even provide the option to bid. All the bid options are limited by how much money you had left. I had $7M left for the last guy I bid on and it only gave me a pulldown list up to $7M. Now I don't even get pulldown lists for anyone since I have $0 left.

Right. You can’t bid more money than you have currently winning. It’s actually more important to follow that rule now because you can purposely bid high to see someone’s top bid, even if you can’t legally win them all.

This is actually covered by rule 21.9.

The d-day system will not accept current bids that surpass the total remaining salary

Other note is if one of your bids is beaten then that money would be available again to you.

I see one bug that I'll fix tomorrow. If you are the only bid, it isn't taking into account your current max bid. In the below, it should be giving you options $5.5M and up, not $1.5M.

Happy this is working out really well! I do see one thing I need to tweak. Your max bid isn't always equal to your available cap space; you have to have money left over for the draft to get to a 35-man roster. You need 100K left over for players you still need to draft (if you need 8 players, you must go into draft with minimum $800K). So the system will need to make sure the total of your won/winning bids account for that.

The calculation is:
Players to Draft = Players Needed - Players Winning/Won
Min Money Needed for Draft = Players to Draft * 100K
Max Bid = Starting Cash - Won Bids - Winning Bids - Min Money Needed for Draft

The trick is when you are on a player page for someone you haven't bid for yet, it has to consider that player as one you would have a winning bid on.

I erased my bids to test this, looks good and it's pushing out now. Any questions about this, let me know.
