Game Two The Marauders jumped out again to a quick 2 - 0 lead as Ken Griffey belted his second homer of the series. The Slyme scored two in the 4th inning to tie the score only to see the Marauders add one in the 5th on an Edgar Renteria RBI single to take the lead. The Slyme fought back for one in the bottom of the 5th as Brian McRae took Belcher deep. The score remained tied going into the 8th. In the 8th inning, Raul Mondesi pounded a deep homer to give the Marauders the lead. The Marauders left Tim Belcher in after there bullpens excessive use in game one. In addition, Belcher had thrown under 90 pitches and had a five-hitter going. This was a huge mistake as Belcher walked Brian McRae and before the bullpen could get fired up Chipper Jones belted a two-run game winning homer. Tom Gordon picked up the save by shutting down the Marauders in the 9th.
