Game Six Once again the Slyme looked to have the advantage in the starting pitchers as Bartolo Colon faced Bobby Jones. The Slyme took an early 1 - 0 lead on a leadoff triple by Kenny Lofton and an RBI single by Chipper Jones. From there, Bobby Jones stifled the Slyme allowing only five more hits in the game. At one point Jones retired 11 straight Slyme batters. In the meantime, THe Marauders battered Colon for single runs in the 4th and 6th innings and a two-spot in the fifth to take a 4 - 1 lead. Homeruns once again played a huge role as Todd Walker, Ray Lankford and Todd Zeile each hit homers. Zeile's was a two-run shot. Ken Griffey chipped in with a 4 - 5 night showing why he is the player of the decade. The Slyme made the game tight in the 8th scoring two runs on two-run double by Travis Fryman, but Greg Vaughn was thrown out at the plate on a perfect relay from Lankford to Renteria to Lopez and Vaughn couldn't knock the ball loose. The ninth was uneventful as Bobby Jones completed a 4 - 3 victory by moving down Gonzalez, Stinnett and Cairo knotting the series at 3 games apiece.
