Name: DJ Shepard
Home Town: Akron, OH
Age: 55
Birthday: September 8th
Family: Divorced, with one daughter, Chelsea
Occupation: Pepsi Driver
Hobbies: Reading, finding and listening to "obscure" music, golf, moving Mike Ries' stuff from place to place, cursing out AOL
Favorite team: Cleveland Indians
Brush with Fame: Got to meet and talk with Ray Alder (Fates Warning singer) out in the crowd during the opening band's set. Both pitched to and caught Kenny Robinson, who pitched in 29 games with the Blue Jays and Royals from '95-'97 in summer ball. Pitched against both Frank Stams (former NFL player) and Jerome Lane (former NBA player) in high school and summer leagues. Was shopping at Quonset Hut (a local music store) when Brad Daugherty (former NBA player) came in. Talk about a huge person, he even made me feel small! Saw Jerry Springer in a bar in the Flats, though I was paying more attention to the two, young, knockout blondes with him.&
Team Quote: "One of these days I'm gonna put a team around Pedro, then look out!"
League Quote: "It was an incredibly lucky day when I first stumbled across the DMB web site and in turn the listing for the BDBL less than a month after its inception...at least, lucky for me. The league may feel otherwise."
Quote I always hear from people: "When are you going to get a haircut?"
Fantasy baseball experience: Sporting News and ESPN leagues. League champion 1996 and 1998.
BDBL member since: 11/26/98
